Everything Sucks” Losing My Mind and Finding Myself in a High School Quest for Cool Summary:

In the beginning to Everything Sucks, the narrator who is a girl whose name
is Hannah. She is twelve years old and in the six grade. She has a monkey
as an older sister and a brother. She soon finds out in the end of chapter
one that she will be pulled out of the sixth grade to move into a tour bus
with her parents to travel the world on tour. On the very first day she is
bullied for fashion statements of the different countries she had been in.
As the character moves on she finds ways to try to fit in at school but
they come out useless. Soon enough just like anyone would do she starts
fighting back these mean girls and spends 3 weeks in detention for it.
Hannah decides to apply for a private school called Biltmore. She really
wants to get into this school even though the uniforms threw her off. She
started searching for more and more and she got more comfortable in other
schools rather than Biltmore. She eventually decided to go to Danforth
Academy and on a scholarship. When Hannah decided to throw off rehearsals
to go out with some friends, she seems pretty uptight when she sees she’s
at a drug deal. Hannah tries to lose weights and it is not working out for
her. She soon loses her strength and eats the brownies out of Ben and Jerry

Hannah is most concerned in her sexual life that she is in anything else,
she is growing up. When her program, Citysemester ends, she returns home
she is bored to death. Her parents, mostly her mother is taking her privacy
by taking off the door of her room by the hinges. This is where everything
falls apart for Hannah, the college counselor Ms. Berman, tells her she did
not get into Yale University as she planned to attend. Hannah is distraught
by this and starts smoking again. Hannah wakes up from her hang over and
finds out her friend Ian, was found dead of overdoes and or seizure in his
dorm. Hannah also finds out Ms. Berman pulled some strings and Hannah will
be attending Yale University. Her article is finally published and her high
school principal wishes her to retract the article and return the profit
she got by publishing the article. She gets suspended from school for
sexual allegations with julian even though they were false. She broke up
with her boyfriend Adam, after he got caught and blame himself for all the
stack of weed at his college.She left to Yale missing her brother and her
monkey sister Amelia the most.
